Thank you to all of you who took the time to vote. What Councils do makes a big difference to our communities and our daily lives. A huge thank you personally for your ongoing support. It is both humbling and encouraging to get that positive endorsement. I look forward to continuing to work for you to keep making our wonderful city an even better place. I think Council has taken a step up with the election outcome.

There are many exciting things to keep working on and new initiatives to get stuck into. Please always feel free to contact me if there is something to talk about.

Making Great Things Happen

Wellington is a city transformed! We are proud to call it home, and it’s an increasingly attractive visitor destination. We consistently rate top city in the national Quality of Life survey. Many Wellingtonians have been part of this change. It’s been my privilege as your City Councillor for the last 15 years to play a key leadership role in this transformation.

I understand the issues; offer a clear, consistent, integrated vision and a creative approach with a record of hard effective work (and not just at election time!). I’ve delivered the results I’ve promised (please click here for details). Being a councillor is a chance to make a positive difference. It’s not just sitting back and going to meetings! I love working with residents, businesses, colleagues and officers to make great things happen. I’m leading many long term, big picture strategies including new urban planning, transport, and environment strategies, as well as working with literally hundreds of individuals, schools and community groups on issues large and small.

Looking forward we need to keep working together as a city and region to ensure future development enhances, rather than damages, the unique features that make Wellington a great place to live, work and play.
